Moving.....

Well, we had the estate agent around today to value the house. Pleasantly surprised at the result. However, whilst he was there a letter came through from Persimmon Homes regarding the house we are having built. Originally it was supposed to be completed September but we were told to look at September / October to be on the safe side. The letter says it will be ready November / December!!! Not good. We want to move a heck of a lot earlier than that.

Oh, and there's one more issue.......

A certain 'troublesome' family have moved into the Housing In The Community flats that have been put on the estate. When I mentioned to the sales rep today that this would be an issue she said that we were the second to cancel because of this family. She will look into it but I can't see anything happening.

The Home Information Packs will still be pushed from 1 June so we want to get on the market before then to avoid it. The estate agent told us today that people who don't want to move until later in the year are going on the market now but inflating the price of their house so noone will be interested just to avoid having to pay for the pack. When they're ready to move they will then drop the price to market value - genius!
